MCMC - Pop Up Nature Playtime for Little Kids at Whittlesea Public Gardens!
Monday 30 March 2026, 10:00am - 12:00pm

MCMC invites Whittlesea’s young families to join us in discovering the new marram baba Merri Creek Regional Parklands and nearby nature at the Whittlesea Public Gardens. Recent redevelopment of the gardens includes a new playground and nature play areas (more information here). We'll explore local watery animals around us.

With trained environmental educators, your children will enjoy looking at waterbugs, listening to frog and bird calls, and be able to have our local creatures painted on their hands (what we call SkinArt). Parking and public toilets available.

Location: Whittlesea Public Gardens, 158 Barry Road, Lalor. There's plenty of car parking and toilets, here's the google maps pin: https://maps.app.goo.gl/bS7gLeBXB98i7EXT9

Registration essential HERE

Please note: There'll be about 500m of walking involved (pram suitable). This event is suitable for ages 2+, and caters for all abilities. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Supported by the City of Whittlesea.
